I am missing your affection, your touch
I am missing your kindness as much
The here and now is not so very kind
That’s why I have you on my mind

I have been around knowing you well
I would rather experience you than tell
I can imagine how it would be
I would rather not have to see

Having your genuine intimacy
How good that would really be
I have to imagine it for tonight
‘Cause you have taken alight

I was created this way I suppose
Like the words and meaning I write
It comes from somewhere, even prose
Even though I try hard as I might

I just enjoy the closeness of one
That likes more than having fun
Two is better than one can be
Much more enjoyable to me

Of course together can’t always be
At times one has to other things to see
But the longing is what I feel today
Hoping closeness is sooner than you say

Who am I talking about you might wonder
I know I am caught in a spell I am under
I long for what goodness I have known
For the loving tenderness you have shown

I have been so lucky to have found love
The kind that is like it comes from above
But on Earth it is more than true
That I love sharing intimacy with you

Love is more than a feeling we share
Love is needed just as much as air
And like when we must always breath
It’s really better when we don’t leave

Who am I talking about you might wonder
I know I am caught in a spell I am under
I long for what goodness I have known
For the loving tenderness you have shown

Maybe it was not always with me
But with you I would rather be
A longing does not compare
Than when you are really there

I just enjoy the closeness of one
That considers sharing touch fun

Much more enjoyable to you and me

Our minds are made more calm
Because our touching is like a balm
With loving feelings we can share
More love than some will think fair

I don’t know if anyone knows of me
It feels like darkness is enveloping thee
Can I go on without one such as you
Wherever you hurt you are not a few

It’s okay if I don’t have my way today
I won’t feel right until I know you can play
And not be worried about new harm coming your way
When you can appreciate the sun and every ray

Where is the love so many say they have
I know some really have it and want to laugh
With me and you wherever we may be
Not worried if we will be forced to flee

We must have faith that things will turn around
We must remember how love really can sound
Not where things of hatred hit all over the ground
Where love will return and always can be found

I want to be loved with great affection, too
I know that’s what you want always, too
It is more important than money can know
Those who wake up their love will then show

No, I can’t worry my life is not perfect when you
Have to deal with so much uncertainty and harm
What we want seems so far away and hurts, too
That we can’t just have peace knowing good, not alarm

I pray I can do something for love to find a way
That you and yours will sing, laugh and play
Then your love might find its way to me
That’s when I can experience being truly happy

I will try to be happy anyway
I will try to appreciate any bright ray
I will not just mope around
I will hope that love can be found

I love you no matter where you be
I send my love to you even over the sea
I love you no matter what’s in your past
I hope you will feel my love at last

I hope you will find a way to be sweet
I know it can be hard with money to compete
Allow yourself to love and be loved in return
Allow yourself to believe that people can learn

It’s like the wave of uncertainty will be spent
It hits and rolls and we see where the bubbles went
A beach with a beautiful setting for you and me
That’s where the journey of our love will finally be

We must do our best to keep hope alive
Someday the fake smiles will no longer thrive
The soulless will finally have love and realize
That our happiness is the honey of their hive

I remember when I was silent
I was looking out on the valley
Wondering where the people went
They were nowhere I could see

Then a sound of the gentle breeze
It didn’t disturb me much
It let me know I was above the trees
The feeling was smooth as such

I was alone but not too far
I was enjoying the seeming peace
Though so much was not at ease
That’s the nature of the universe on par

The sun was high above in descent
It was warm, not hot on my perch
I wondered and all the chaos went
Slowly I turned in my search

Not knowing what I already found
I kept looking as I felt so calm
Maybe a small wild bird did sound
The sun, the breeze, the peace a balm

Looking back I could not know
That I had found what people seek
Even as their desire may grow
I found beneath each rocky peak

Is it the love of all creation
Is it what I truly had found
Loving love in the situation
Not knowing that it was around

I suppose it is natural to seek
Though we enjoy the life we live
A loving creation that is not meek
To help restore us it might give

For life is not just easy, easy
No matter how much you do or not
Sometimes you will at least get queasy
For pain and suffering is part of the lot

At that time up on the hilltop
With lovely forests all around
Love was touching me with healing
For things I didn’t know I was feeling

For what the sacred land was worth
It was worth more than could be known
By people looking to at times be alone
This was certainly a heavenly berth

Looking back I can feel the love
We had found that niche in creation
This comes from way up above
